The Bolton Wanderers match report you won’t read in the papers (or see on Match of the Day)

Here’s what the various Bolton Wanderers message boards made of the Whites’ two-goal surrender at Ewood Park last night…

- “Our performances in the first and second halves last night were like chalk and cheese” but… “In the end it was a fair result“… “we managed to snatch a draw from the jaws of victory!”

- “It was exactly the same as against Portsmouth, only this time we didn’t get away with it.”

- “The fitness coach should be sacked because we totally ran out of steam.”

- “Jussi Jaaskelainen was man of the match.” Mind you… “It shouldn’t have been a penalty anyway because there was a handball just before it.”

- “If Megson recognises the impact Blackburn’s substitutions had, then why does he refuse to use them himself?”

- “We absolutely dominated in the first-half, so why the hell did we go so defensive after the break?” … “he got the tactics totally wrong yet again.” … “Megson has had his chance, time to go…” because “he’s out of ideas“.

- “If he doesn’t like being booed then he knows where to go.”

OR

- “Megson was going nuts at the players for defending too deep, it was Kevin Nolan and Fabrice Muamba who refused to move out”… therefore… “It’s time Nolan got himself better acquainted with the bench.”

- “The players should not be ignoring the manager’s instructions, but then you have to ask why they would ignore him.”

- “It was way over the top to start chanting Gary Megson you’re a wanker when we were still 2-1 up!” … “Anyone singing anti-Megson chants should hang their heads in shame” … “the chanting is totally counter-productive, whatever you think of Megson.”

- “Fear not! Looking at the bottom we’re too good to go down.”

BUT

- “The game against Spurs this weekend is now a relegation six-pointer.”
