Finally, something to wake Wanderers fans from their summer slumber
It’s not often you see the words ‘Bolton Wanderers’ and ‘sex’ in the same headline.
In fact, thanks largely to the existence of Gary Megson, it’s not often you see the words ‘Bolton Wanderers’ and anything remotely interesting and exciting or interesting in the same headline.
Bolton Wanderers Hall of Fame #2: David Lee

He’s got no hair but we don’t care…
There are many reasons to love David Lee, who returned to Bolton Wanderers this week to work alongside Jimmy Phillips in the Academy.
There was his old-fashioned, full-back-terrorising, touchline-hugging wing play that made Bolton one of the most entertaining teams in the country in the early to mid-90s (how weird does that sound now?).
There was his bald head which, combined with his crooked frame and skinny legs, meant he was never likely to rival David Beckham in the endorsement stakes.
He looked about 56 when he was 26, which of course only made the Wanderers fans love him more. With his squeaky voice and broad northern accent, he was a player they could really relate to, as the cliche goes.
Then there were the songs: ‘He’s got no hair and we don’t care’ and ‘who needs Cantona when we’ve got David Lee?’
But of course the real reason he derserves his place in the Bolton Wanderers Hall of Fame is this cross… Welcome back David!
