The Guardian says that Middlesbrough committed suicide before completely laying in to Gareth Southgate and his side for their woeful defending. It’s not until paragraph 10 that Bolton get any credit for Ricardo Gardner’s one “well-worked goal.” Even the Bolton fan who gave his verdict in the Observer thought that the result flattered the Wanderers.

With only one win in the league in 2009, Middlesbrough are in all kinds of trouble as they try to stay in the Premier League.
And it appears their manager, Gareth Southgate, is willing to try anything as he attempts to avoid relegation with Boro.
