burnden_disasterThere will be no grief-fest.  No wide-spread media coverage.  No endless analysis of what went wrong.  It’s better that way.

Today, anyone connected with Bolton Wanderers will take a quiet moment to remember the 33 fans who attended an FA Cup tie between Bolton Wanderers and Stoke City in 1946 and never came home.  Some had just returned from fighting in the war.
